No. “Free training” on this page means the training may be fully covered for an eligible Soldier when Army Credentialing Assistance is approved and the approved amount covers the qualifying cost. Funding is subject to eligibility, Army policy, approval, and available funds.
Current Army guidance states that CA funds up to $2,000 for one credential per fiscal year, with different limits for aviation credentials. Confirm the current rule on the official Army ACES page before submitting.
The current Army rule requires requests at least 45 days and no more than 90 days before the course or exam start date. The date planner on this page is for planning only.
Current Army policy states that commissioned officers are ineligible for CA, subject to the transition provisions for certain previously submitted goals. Check your ArmyIgnitED status and the current Army guidance for your specific case.

You begin the approved training according to the approved dates and use the Student Center to access the learning resources included with your program. Training does not itself award the certification; the credential provider controls exam and certification requirements.
